A Practice in Persistence marked the three-year anniversary of Awita New York Studio, bringing together a compelling group of artists in an exhibition curated by Gulsum Keskinoglu. The show reflected on the studio’s evolution as a space grounded in experimentation, collaboration, and a sustained commitment to creative practice.

Over its first three years, Awita New York Studio had grown into a community shaped by artists and their ongoing dedication to making. The exhibition served both as a reflection on that journey and as an acknowledgment of the persistence required to build and maintain such a space. Through a diverse range of works, A Practice in Persistence explored themes of resilience, process, and the quiet endurance embedded in artistic production.

Among the participating artists, QR contributed a print of his original work ‘In Motion.’ The piece examined the threshold between stillness and action, capturing a moment held in suspension where transformation remained imminent yet unresolved. In doing so, the work aligned with the exhibition’s broader dialogue, highlighting the tension, patience, and continuity inherent in a sustained creative practice.

Collectively, the exhibition stood as both a milestone and a forward-looking gesture, underscoring the enduring nature of artistic commitment and the evolving community fostered by Awita New York Studio.
